Saffron Studios: Music Production Tutorials

There’s no shortage of online music production masterclasses out there, but what percentage of those are devised and presented by someone other than a white male?

Created with accessibility in mind, Saffron Studios is designed to offer an alternative resource for beginner producers, as well as those looking to sharpen up their existing approach. It covers essential topics for any electronic music producer including sampling, synthesis, vocal production and custom drum kits.

The online course consists of 4 x 15-30 minute ‘Deep Dive’ videos available exclusively on the Saffron Members platform, with free taster tutorials being released weekly on our YouTube channel.

ABOUT POPS ROBERTS

Based in Manchester, Pops Roberts is a key player in the UK soul and electronic scenes. As a producer, vocalist and Ableton Certified trainer, Pops specialises in workflow and creative strategies in production with a particular focus on vocals. As a producer and vocalist, Pops goes by the moniker of Private Joy and, is bandleader to the ‘Lovescene’ collective, with critically acclaimed, and award-winning releases and has collaborated with international artists Ruf Dug, FINN, Lenzman Mera Bhai, Zed Bias, DubPhizix, Redeyes and Swing Ting to name but a few.

Pops is a mentor on Saffron’s EMERGING and SOUNDPATHS artist development projects. She has also released under her alias Private Joy, as part Saffron Presents 001 – our mini compilation of tracks and sample packs.

ABOUT SAFFRON MEMBERS CLUB

Saffron Members Club connects and educates people around the world in aspects of music production, sound engineering, DJing, music business and artist development, giving you a platform to take your music skills to the next level.
