Support our work
Join the movement towards a fairer, more inclusive music tech industry.
DonateAs a non-profit organisation, our mission is to advance gender equality in the music tech industry by creating safer spaces for underrepresented people to learn, create and grow through forward-thinking music creation, DJing and industry experience.
Saffron – and our sister organisation Mix Nights – have been doing this work consistently since 2015 – but we can’t do it alone. Cuts to funding and the continued impact of the cost-of-living crisis mean that now more than ever, we need your support to continue. Having the financial means to give on a one-off or recurring basis will have a measurable impact on our work.
Donate Now“Saffron are not only doing what needs to be done in the industry, but they’re doing so from a place of love and hope.”
"Saffron were pivotal for me in my music journey."
"Being part of the Saffron community has allowed me to discover who I am, not only as a musician but as a human!”
“Saffron made me realise what it was like to be valued in my job, giving me confidence as an artist and host.”
Our name comes from the idea that a small amount of something can go a very long way. We believe in the power of community, and that if collectively, we all give a little, we can make a big difference. Here are some ways you can do just that…
If you’re an individual who would like to give something back to the Saffron community, you can support us by making a one-off or monthly donation. 100% of your donation will go directly towards supporting our work addressing the gender imbalance in music tech.
DonateIf you’re a woman, trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming person who would like to build your music tech skills and network whilst supporting the work we do, you can subscribe to our online community, Saffron Members Club. We have three membership tiers, starting from less than £5 per month.
SubscribeWould you like to play a role in breaking down financial barriers to participating in music tech for women and minorities? A one-off donation of £350 will pay for a fully-funded space for someone on one of our in-person courses. £180 will pay for 3 bespoke sessions of 1-2-1 music tech mentoring.

Maybe you’re an established artist who can lend some time to run a workshop, or perhaps you’re a promoter who would like to throw a fundraising event in our honour. There are lots of possibilities. Get creativeThe creation of modern music is increasingly reliant on access to digital technologies. Artists who understand the processes of producing, mixing and engineering music are empowered to take creative control over their sound and overall artistic direction. This means that, far from being a niche pursuit, music technology feeds into and shapes the whole music ecosystem.
In 2023 we provided music tech training and community infrastructure for hundreds of people around the world.
