A Statement of Solidarity with the Trans Community

In light of the recent news and increasingly hostile rhetoric around trans rights in the UK, we want to make it absolutely clear: Saffron stands in full solidarity with the trans community.

We are heartbroken and outraged by the growing attempts to roll back the rights, safety, and dignity of trans people. These developments are not only unjust – they are dangerous. 

At Saffron, our mission has always been to create a more equitable and inclusive music tech industry. That includes uplifting trans voices, protecting trans joy, and pushing back against discrimination in all its forms.

To our trans community – we see you, we love you, and we’re committed to fighting with and for you.

In response to the current climate, we are deepening our work to:

• Prioritise trans inclusion across all Saffron programs, from music tech education to artist development
• Expand partnerships with trans-led and trans-supportive organisations
• Offer more platforms, resources, and paid opportunities specifically for trans creatives and professionals
• Continue learning, listening, and taking action within our team and wider community

We won’t stand by while rights are stripped away. We are doubling down on our values and will keep using our platform to advocate for equity, creativity, and liberation for all.
