Hiring: Project Coordinator to support Saffron’s step into schoolswork

Apply now to help us deliver our forthcoming ‘Saffron Routes’ project

DJ workshop for under 18s

After a decade delivering transformative music technology education for adults, Saffron is making an exciting move and expanding its work to reach under-18s

With backing from Youth Music’s Catalyser Fund, we’ll be launching a project in early 2026 that seeks to address music tech’s gender disparity at its root, through breaking down barriers faced by girls and gender minorities in music education settings.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Over the course of 24 months in Bristol and Gloucester, we will deliver a series of outreach programmes within secondary schools and holiday clubs in collaboration with our youth partners Music Works and ACE Docklands. By offering adolescent girls and gender minorities early exposure to DJing, music production and the inner workings of the music tech sector, our aim is to build embedded, inclusive pathways that lead to long-term change and greater representation within the industry.

WANT TO BE INVOLVED?

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to help deliver our new ‘Saffron Routes’ programme. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and successful delivery of our outreach and holiday sessions with partner schools and youth centres.

The Project Coordinator will manage delivery schedules, support freelance facilitators, recruit and engage young participants and collect meaningful feedback to ensure the programme remains high-quality, inclusive and impactful.

Working closely with our Education Manager and a team of freelance educators, you’ll help create a supportive and inspiring experience for young people, while capturing valuable insights to shape the future of Saffron’s youth programmes.

HOW TO APPLY

Please read our application pack, which contains more information about the Saffron Routes project and FAQs, before applying. Due to the nature of our work, we will be prioritising applicants who have lived experience of being a marginalised gender within music/music technology.

Application deadline: Sunday, 30th November at 6 pm

Interview dates: Wednesday 10th / Thursday 11th December 2025
