OUR COURSES

Sound Engineering

This course will walk you through recording and mixing in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), and teach you how to capture and reproduce audio in a studio and live setting. It’s great for aspiring sound engineers, as well as artists who want to gain more control over their sound on stage and in the studio. It can also be very useful for DJs to learn about sound engineering, so you can get a more rounded understanding of how sound systems, speakers and live audio works.

Music Production

The production course focuses on the basics of music creation using Ableton Live 11. After being given an overview of the interface and how to get started with a track, you’ll learn about drum programming, audio manipulation, synthesis and MIDI effects, recording audio and audio effects, automation and the fundamentals of mixing. This course is perfect for complete beginners, or those with some existing music skills who are keen to start creating their own tracks or edits using Ableton.

Radio Broadcasting

Taught and mentored by Manami and Tilly, this unique course in Bristol is our newest offering, presented in partnership with Bristol independent radio station Noods Radio, and their community arm, Noods Levels. You’ll get an introductory guide to creating and hosting radio shows, from show planning, recording and editing, to marketing, presenting and interview techniques. The course culminates with a takeover day on Noods, where you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your own one-hour show live on the radio.
