Are you interested in starting your own podcast? Are you a DJ looking to make your radio shows sound more professional or improve your presenting skills? Then this is the workshop for you! In this relaxed online session, Bristol-based DJ, podcaster, BBC radio presenter and producer of The Radio 1 Residency Milly on Air will be sharing insights from across her extensive career. Milly on Air ( Milly Chowles)  is a Bristol based DJ who’s hosted regular radio shows on Threads, SWU FM, Melodic Distraction and Noods, and recently made her  Boiler Room debut, as well as having performed across the UK and Europe on some world class line ups including Glastonbury Festival, Meadows in the Mountains, Boomtown, Shambala, Wilderness, Strange Brew, Propyard and The Cause to name a few. 

Milly is also the host and creator of Back 2 Life, an independent, cult podcast and party series that shines a light on mental health and addiction recovery, creativity and healing within the world of electronic music. She has spoken to Eris Drew, Lauren Flax, Cera Khin, Bushwacka, Ruby Savage and many more and been featured in DJ Mag and Podbible and been listened to by thousands of people in 29 countries around the world.

By day Milly is a senior radio and podcast producer and has over 13 years experience having  made podcasts and programmes for Sony Podcasts, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4, The World Service, 6 Music and Audible, amongst others. She’s the creator and producer of Exactly with Florence Given and has programmed and produced the Radio 1 Residency over the last 5 years working closely with some of the biggest names in Dance music such as The Blessed Madonna, HAAi, Eris Drew and Octo Octa, Eliza Rose, Joy Orbison, Nia Archives, Sherelle and many others.

She has also been a regular voice on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, using her own lived experience to report on issues such as addiction, toxic relationships and the criminal justice system. She’s also a public speaker and regular podcast guest who’s passionate about challenging stigma and amplifying voices with lived experience.
