AN INTRO TO PR FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS
Join Infectious PR’s Head of Radio, Lucy Sparks, for an interactive online workshop exploring all things promotion and radio plugging. Lucy will shine a light on how PR works and share some advice on when it is the right time to consider working with an agent, how best to allocate budget and what to look for in a partnership. We will also explore some tips and tricks and DIY strategies for independent artists who are looking to get their music off the ground and elevate their profile.
ABOUT LUCY SPARKS / INFECTIOUS PR
Infectious is a UK-based marketing agency working with some of the best artists and record labels in the music industry. Founded in 2009, we worked on our first UK #1 album campaign in 2010 and haven’t looked back since.
Our founders have a combined 30 years experience in the music industry, a global network of thousands of media partners including the BBC, Forbes, Billboard, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Apple Music and Spotify, and a passionate young team with a focus on emerging trends.
At Infectious, our aim is to help our clients achieve their dreams by offering the most impactful marketing and PR services across the industry. And we’re lucky enough to have partnered with more of our musical heroes than we can count.

GENDER POLICY
The gender imbalance in the music technology industry is well-recognised. While we are absolutely not ‘anti-men’, we see that a shorter-term solution is to provide fellowship and learning environments that are not dominated by the cisgender male perspective. Therefore, these workshops are intended for women, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming people to attend.
