Join us for a unique opportunity to hear from industry professionals at the long-standing club fabric about the challenges and rewards of running a successful record label. Our guest speakers will share insights into the day-to-day operations of Fabric’s in-house labels – Houndstooth and Fabric Originals – covering topics including artist management, A&R, marketing, and distribution.
In the session we’ll go through:
- A&R processes
- Digesting metadata
- Artist management and communication
- Marketing and PR for a release
ABOUT HARRIET BLISS
Harriet Bliss has over 5 years experience in the dance music sector, most notably for her time at long-standing nightclub fabric coordinating live music event logistics, and recently has joined the new fabric originals label team as label coordinator. Harriet’s most recent projects include the curation of the newly released fabric selects II, which features artists like Skream, dBridge, Ehua and more.
ABOUT KATE MALCOLM
Kate Malcom is fabric’s Product Manager and membership secretary.
“Following a varied path into my thirties taking in adult teaching, office temping, even management accounting – after a few years out as snowboard seasonaire I returned to the UK and landed the role managing fabric’s membership scheme, fabricfirst. I started out taking care of subscribers and distribution of music each month for the fabric and FABRICLIVE monthly mixes and now oversee the curated mix series for fabric Records and help on all kinds of projects across three labels.”
