Are you interested in gaining a fuller understanding of how to have a freelance or portfolio career? Do you have a passion or side hustle that you want to turn into a business? Do you have an idea for a project but you’re not sure how to get it off the ground? Join award-winning artist/producer Millie Wood-Downie in this relaxed 1.5 hour workshop on An Intro to Freelancing for Creatives.

- What you do and how do you do it – defining your work
- Turning an idea into a project

- Getting paid fairly & setting boundaries

ABOUT MILLIE
Millie (she/her) is an award winning producer, performer, poet and facilitator. She works at the cross section of activism, live performance and creative experiences in both theatre and events and has collaborated with organisations such as BBC Arts, Bristol Old Vic, Arts Council England and Tobacco Factory. Aside from making and producing, Millie completed a Develop Your Creative Practice research and development period in 2022 looking into sustainable models from freelancers – she is passionate about sharing that knowledge and absolutely loves holding spaces for creative people to discuss, interrogate and explore.
